More fashion, art, crafts and recyclables at Lily of the Valleys – K
[2012] – “One Sunday afternoon, as I was sitting by a lake with the word of God, I saw a group of ducks – some were sitting, some swimming, and some grazing the grasses. As I looked at the coat and feathers of these ordinary, everyday ducks, I was inspired by the intricate patterns, textures and colours that they wore. I thought about modern fashion and creativity, and I saw that all of this was only the slightest reflection of God’s design. He is the great creator by whose hands all things have been made. We are made in His image, made to be a reflection of His glory. I pray these designs will stand as a testimony declaring the beauty of Jesus Christ and the glory of our Living God.”
[Matthew 6:28-30] – “See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you…”
[2013] – “I pray lots when I sew, about various things, not just the dress or whatever I’m making. However, I do like to ask God what He thinks about what I am making because I think He wants to be a part of every aspect of my life, no matter what it is. I always count it a joint effort between God and myself because He’ is creative and He is The Creator! I’m just making dresses and ties, but God has clothed the lilies, created the most beautiful landscapes and made each and every one of us! So, when I sew and make things, I remember my Lord Jesus, and I remember Matthew 6:25-34, especially that my desire and aim is to seek first the Kingdom of God. He has faithfully provided everything I have ever needed, and He continues to do so out of His abundant love! While I have developed some skills, all that I have comes from God, my heavenly Father, and Creator of the heavens and the earth.”
[2014] – “There is such joy in creation – taking an idea, and giving it form – to sketch, design, write, plan, build – to create. It made me think, if I have this much joy making something so imperfect, and so temporary, how much joy does God have in us, who He fashioned in His very own image, to be with Him in eternity! Knowing God’s joy, gives me joy, and it makes my soul (and my feet) dance! I want to know the heart of my Creator God, to know His plans, and His purposes, to understand His creation, and to work with Him in what He is creating next.” More: https://lostnowfoundk.wordpress.com/2014/11/17/create/
