All for One

IMG_4506.JPGA daughter cried out for her Father, a princess for her King, a counsellor sat with Wisdom held tightly his lap. This was a meeting of of different walks joined together in the pursuit of one thing, in the pursuit of the Only One.  I sat there that day in the prayer meeting, marvelling at the different expressions of joy, love, and God’s Spirit seen in each one of my brothers and sisters. As we prayed together, I felt the strength of testimony rise up from the mouth of the warrior and from the heart of the servant alike. Different gifts, different personalities, but all deeply loved with the same strong love of the Father God.

We are the church, all founded on the rock of Christ’s death and resurrection.

[Ephesians 2:19-20] – “Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone.”

We are family, joined together by the indwelling Holy Spirit in our hearts.

[Romans 8:14-16] – “For as many are as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God…”

We are God’s army with archers, soldiers and chariots of praise.

[Psalm 68:24-25] – “They have seen Your procession, O God. The procession of my God, my King, into the sanctuary. The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; Among them were the maidens playing timbrels.”

We are God’s beloved; created, shaped and given life by His love.

[John 1:3-4] – “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.”

What is your testimony? What is your story? How has God, the Lord Almighty appeared to you?

Is He a Father, who gives you your name?
Is He is King, who calls you to His throne?
Is He is servant, who inspires you to serve?
Is He the Mighty Counsellor, from whom all wisdom comes?

IMG_4499.JPGThe church, in its pursuit, has sometimes lost sight of the goal. It is not ourselves that we seek, but God; and in Him we find ourselves. Let the daughter seek her Father, the princess seek her King, the counsellor ask for Wisdom and the knowledge of Christ the Son.

Let us not judge each other, but remember the Spirit that binds us. We are all for One, all for Christ and all in Christ. Let us pray to the God of Isaac, Abraham, Jacob and all the nations. Let us be His church, His bride, His body, His beloved ones. Let every knee bow, and every tongue confess; everyone desire and call for our one true God.

[Revelation 22:17] – “And the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let Him who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let Him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.”
